There are three art zines on my table. They are all equal in size (about 21 by 15 cm), conceptualized, designed and published by the Berlin based artist Manfred Naescher. These books are the subjects of the first virtual book launch here on artzines.de.
“Architecture Without Films”, “Faces” and “Moutains with Subtitles” are the titles of the books, and they investigate, similar to the other publications Manfred Naescher published previously, the medium film/cinema – using appropriated pictures as starting point for his own recontextualized and reconfigured sequential work…

PA/PER VIEW is an independent publishing fair in London, organised in association with Mer.Paper Kunsthalle. Now in its third year, this fair will present 27 international art book publishers and is announced for January 21st to 23rd, 2011 at the Zabludowicz Collection.

PA/PER VIEW London will take place during the 3rd year of London’s pre-eminent annual exhibition of recent graduates from Goldsmiths and Royal College of Art titled Testing Ground, in which there will also be performance events and talks surrounding the exhibition space. During the course of the fair we will be organising a welcome party (on Friday 6 to 9 pm), and a panel discussion on the weekend with very esteemed speakers to be confirmed.”

You’re invited to join the nice people of PrintRoom for an informal afternoon with book launches by David Maroto, who will present two new leporellos (‘Seven Masks’ and ‘A Dream_Teeth’), followed by the presentation of The Book of Paper by Antje Peters and Oliver Helfrich. PrintRoom will serve glühwein and cakes and the shop will be open until six.
