Virtual Book Launch — 3 Zines by Manfred Naescher

There are three art zines on my table. They are all equal in size (about 21 by 15 cm), con­cep­tu­al­ized, designed and pub­lished by the Ber­lin based artist Man­fred Naes­cher. These books are the sub­jects of the first vir­tu­al book launch here on artzines​.de.
Archi­tec­ture Without Films”, “Faces” and “Moutains with Sub­titles” are the titles of the books, and they invest­ig­ate, sim­il­ar to the oth­er pub­lic­a­tions Man­fred Naes­cher pub­lished pre­vi­ously, the medi­um film/​cinema – using appro­pri­ated pic­tures as start­ing point for his own recon­tex­tu­al­ized and recon­figured sequen­tial work…

Fair — PA/PER VIEW

PA/PER VIEW is an inde­pend­ent pub­lish­ing fair in Lon­don, organ­ised in asso­ci­ation with Mer.Paper Kun­sthalle. Now in its third year, this fair will present 27 inter­na­tion­al art book pub­lish­ers and is announced for Janu­ary 21st to 23rd, 2011 at the Zabludow­icz Col­lec­tion.

The Zabludow­icz Col­lec­tion has an act­ive pub­lish­ing arm and dynam­ic pro­gramme of free pub­lic events, ran­ging from talks and per­form­ances by artists and aca­dem­ics to com­munity-based fest­ivals and youth and adult edu­ca­tion.

PA/PER VIEW Lon­don will take place dur­ing the 3rd year of London’s pre-emin­ent annu­al exhib­i­tion of recent gradu­ates from Gold­smiths and Roy­al Col­lege of Art titled Test­ing Ground, in which there will also be per­form­ance events and talks sur­round­ing the exhib­i­tion space. Dur­ing the course of the fair we will be organ­ising a wel­come party (on Fri­day 6 to 9 pm), and a pan­el dis­cus­sion on the week­end with very esteemed speak­ers to be con­firmed.”

Launch — Seven Masks, A Dream_​Teeth & The Book of Paper


You’re invited to join the nice people of Prin­t­Room for an inform­al after­noon with book launches by Dav­id Maroto, who will present two new leporel­los (‘Sev­en Masks’ and ‘A Dream_​Teeth’), fol­lowed by the present­a­tion of The Book of Paper by Antje Peters and Oliv­er Hel­frich. Prin­t­Room will serve glüh­wein and cakes and the shop will be open until six.
