Store — Beach Gallery & Shop Opening

Beach, a café, small-press book & print shop and art gal­lery on two floors in Shored­itch, Lon­don launches on the July 7th 2011

»July 7th will see the launch of ›Beach Edi­tions‹ in the gal­lery space – a series of new art­works by Beach artists John Bohl, Sis­ter Arrow and Sean Mor­ris, as well as exclus­ive works by James Unsworth, Anna-Faye Gillespie, Carl Part­ridge and Danny Espinoza – artists whose work is influ­enced by low-brow media, such as Com­ics, Magazines and Zines.

Our café and book­shop space will fea­ture the best in loc­al and inter­na­tion­al small-press, zines, mags, and sta­tion­ary, includ­ing stuff from Four­teen-Nine­teen, Nieves, Ditto Press, Pan­ther Club, Land­fill Edi­tions, Duke Press, Museums Press, Present Joys, Field Notes and many more.
In the book­shop on the launch night, we’ll be launch­ing Beach’s first lim­ited edi­tion Pub­lic­a­tion, a book of Pho­tos called ›Life­styles of The Poor and Unknown‹ #1, by the Essex-based col­lect­ive of the same name.«
