Zines #1 1971 – 1975, an ehib­i­tion on artists pub­lic­a­tions, opens on Janu­ary 31st, 2013 at the Zen­t­ral­in­sti­tuts für Kun­st­geschichte in Munich. What you can see are artzines and artists books from early 70ies from the col­lec­tion of Hubert Kretschmer’s Archive Artist Pub­lic­a­tions

The Archive Artist Pub­lic­a­tions was estab­lished in 1980 in Munich by Hubert Kretschmer. The Archive is com­prised of about 40.000 artists’ books, magazines, objects, music tapes, posters, cal­en­dars, auto­graphs, and mul­tiples from a selec­tion of inter­na­tion­al artists. The Archive grew out of exhib­i­tions moun­ted by the Produzen­ten­galer­ie Adel­gun­den­strasse in Munich and ver­lag & dis­tri­bu­tion Hubert Kretschmer.”
