On September 15th the exhibition “Even My Mum Can Make A Book” at Manzara Perspectives in Istanbul (Turkey) opens its doors.
Game Özer an Timothee Huguet collected artzine, fanzines, art books form over 200 independent publishers and offpresses from all over the world for this exhibition. You’ll find works by island fold (canada), 1⁄2 zine (switzerland/france), picnic editorial (spain), fever zine (uk), vingon zine (south korea), 213 (germany), lazy dog (slovakia), folklore zine (scotland), freak zine (hungary), gloria glitzer (germany), pedro ramos (australia), andy rohr (usa), fake wood (hungary), limo zine (sweden), pere saguer, (spain), nick hoffman (usa), laurianne bixhain (france), ryuta abe (japan), sprinkles sparkles and kankles (usa), dave sherry (uk), manfred naescher (liechtenstein), jessica hans (usa), lazer art zine (belgium), robert roura (spain), no thoughts photo zine (usa), mark pawson (uk), georg reinhardt (germany), ananda serne (netherlands), terence hannum (usa), shohei yoshida (japan), daniel swan (uk) and many more.
“The presentation at Manzara Perspectives is the first in a series as the project has the aim to create an archive that will be expanding and travelling through different venues.
During the exhibition people will have the opportunity to make own zines and there will also be workshops on screen printing.”
